Did you realize there are only two more days until Father’s Day? Do you have your day planned? Do you have your gift ready? Well, I just wanted to share a few ideas with you.
I really wanted Rich and Elizabeth to celebrate Father’s Day with just the two of them – A Daddy-Daughter time. That’s what we plan to do this Sunday, right after church. Their time together might include fishing, weather permitting. After they have their day together, the three of us will enjoy a nice dinner at home, followed by a movie we will get from REDBOX or the library.
We celebrated with my dad earlier this week, and we will celebrate with Rich’s dad next week. Last Father’s Day I offered you some great gift ideas that you can read about again if you would like – CLICK HERE – to read that post. And this year, I thought of one more. Actually, my daughter and I came up with this together.
We found a classic movie DVD set that we thought grandpa would like. I have seen these sets at WALMART, SAM’s CLUB, and COSTCO. I am sure other stores like TARGET or BEST BUY would also carry them. This time I opted for a Comedy Classics Set. They also had Western, Combat, and a variety of other themes.
Then, we went to my favorite store, TRADER JOE’S, and bought some popcorn to make it a theme gift. We purchased the Movie Theater Popcorn and the Popcorn With Herbs and Spices. Trader Joe’s has a variety of other popcorn, including Kettle Corn and White Cheddar.
So, there you have it. One more gift idea, in case you still haven’t made a choice yet.
Hope you enjoy your day. Happy Father’s Day!
Great ideas!! I think the movies will be a big hit. I need to think of Trader Joe’s more for food ideas. Thanks again!
You are welcome. Trader Joe’s is a place I always shop at, especially for gifts. Who doesn’t like to get edible gifts.
ps Rich – Happy Father’s Day
