Last weekend we had some friends over for dinner, and they brought dessert. It was a very yummy dessert, so I thought I would share the recipe with you. We served each slice of pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Oh yum! I know you will enjoy this.
You will need:
2 eggs
½ cup flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup packed light brown sugar
¾ cup butter, softened
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 pie shell, unbaked (9-inch)
Preheat oven to 325 F.
Beat the eggs at high speed until foamy (3min.)
Add the flour, sugar, and brown sugar and mix well.
Beat in the butter.
Stir in the walnuts and chocolate chips.
Pour into the pie shell.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until knife inserted comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
Cool.
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
Best if served slightly warm.
Enjoy!
This looks seriously good, and I love the doughy, chocolate-chip contrast. I’m sorely tempted to adapt it and add a version to my site, http://www.EasyDessertRecipesWithFewIngredients.net, but it might be just a touch too complicated to qualify (my standards are low…)
